We've been at this for over 30 years and have bumped in to some very professional caterers, wedding planners and photographers. Unfortunately, we've also seen our fair share of under par wedding (cough) professionals.

Word-of-mouth and referrals are how we've traditionally booked our receptions, but today it's a very slippery slope for a couple planning their special wedding day. There are literally hundreds of kids with I-pods, poor quality Internet-downloaded MP3s and a pair of home speakers, yet have a fancy yellow page ad or web site, claiming to be experts because they've been a DJ for a few years. In this business, given the importance of a wedding reception and all the memories people walk away with, there is no substitute for experience.
