With that being said, let's qualify some of those statements...
Loud isn't always good. A professional DJ will be sensitive to the room, setting, average age group, and the event itself. Nobody likes to be forced to scream over the music just to talk with their friends... yet people on the dance floor like it loud enough they can get into the music. So, TTG will always make the best effort to keep the music volume appropriate to the occasion. (This CAN be tricky... sometimes a guest will say 'turn it up!', when 3 minutes later another guest will say 'turn it down!'. We do our best to keep everyone happy, however. Funny how the age group will often determine how loud the music is played. :) Wedding receptions, with guests from 16 years old to 90, will always present the biggest challenge to the DJ... Tunes To Go pulls it off without breaking a sweat. And we guarantee your satisfaction.
Lights and Effects
While we will gladly play your event without lighting effects, we highly recommend them. Lights create a special atmosphere to an occasion... gives it that 'feel' that there's a party going on.
Effective 2006, there is no extra charge for the light show (dual pillars, lights all have microphones built in so they pulse and move with the music).
Note: How high we set the lights is dictated by how low the ceiling is. We prefer to have them about 8 feet in the air... but since they turn out considerable heat, sometimes we will set them lower simply because a few feet of air needs to exist to dissipate the heat.
