About Tunes To Go

The DJ / MC (Master of Ceremonies) for Tunes To Go is Glenn Miller. He
worked the major discoteques of the 70's, from '74 through 1979.
Discos that are now legendary... In Belleville, the first disco to open
was named Nowhere. That was where he got his start in late 1974.
Then to Sonny & Chars in Collinsville, where he worked over 2 years
and made a major wake in nightly entertainment. With guest DJ stints
in St. Louis at places such as the 'Time and the Tiger', and 'Goomba's
in West County, and the 'Rookery' and 'BBC' in Chicago on famous Rush Street, he continued to make a name for himself.
But 4 to 5 nights a week, while holding down a full time job, took its toll. Burnt out, Glenn spent the summer of '78 with his horses on a small
ranch he'd built in Belleville, Illinois. But his reputation followed.... when
Paul Augustine approached him one day on the ranch and asked Glenn
to help him design and build, and then DJ, a state-of-the-art 'Saturday Night Fever'
Studio 54-style disco. Glenn couldn't resist, and in October of 1978, Mr. A's
Disco was packing in a thousand people every night, the crowd often lined
up outside into the parking lot.
In 1980, he started 'The Open Road Disco Show', the first (and for some time, ONLY)
mobile DJ service in the Metro-East. But three more years of giving up Friday and Saturday
nights, and with a son on the way, he sold the mobile unit to a company
from St. Louis. But he still had some major sound equipment and a great collection of music, so for the next 15 years he donated his time and music for benefits, charities and civic fund raisers. And he never stopped collecting music, never lost his feel for playing exactly what a crowd wanted to hear, and never lost the love of entertaining a large group of people. Being very selective on accepting gigs, he still played more wedding receptions - working entirely from referrals - than many competing DJs did with a fancy yellow page ad.
With kids now grown, he's refocused his talents and is taking on more jobs than he did in the late 80's and early 90's. Wedding receptions, dances, theme parties, American Legion and VFW conventions, Glenn has made a name for himself throughout Illinois and the St. Louis area.
Now you can bring all of this experience, and a playlist of more than 50,000 songs to your dances and parties. If you've ever been to a wedding reception that was ruined by an unprofessional or inexperienced DJ, the contrast between an experienced pro will be obvious. Give Glenn a call and make your event legendary.
He looks forward to hearing from you.
